For my project, I wanted to create an immersive experience which is intangible, yet feels tangible.
Music and audio in the car helps in changing moods, relieves stress and is one of the best forms of showing personal expression. Avid music listeners also love having complete control of the equilizing the bass and trebles to their liking.
It is also one of the best talking points among passengers. It brings people with same music taste together, sparks debates, creates more interest in the playing artist and album.
Hence, I created the control cube!

Let’s go through the process post ideation !
After physical low-fidelity testing in a real life setting with different shapes , the ‘ Cube ‘ turned out to be the most suitable for the project.

Choosing your vibe
One of the most important aspects of a music experience is how the person is feeling at that current moment. The cube colors and car mood lighting will change accordingly.
Volume Control
One of most commonly used controls while listening is the volume of the song. By simply dragging a circle longitudinally, the passenger can control the volume of the music.
Favourite Songs
The passenger can quickly access their saved favorite songs so as to save time searching them up multiple times.

About the Album
Often, the listener is eager to know about the artist or the album of the song. This side of the cube can help them explore the same.
Control Panel
For avid music listeners who like to tune the bass, treble and equalizer to their liking can use this function for a tranquilizing music experience while laying back on their seat.
Now Playing
The front screen of the cube gives you access to the most important feature of the music experience which is to pause, play and go the next/previous song.
